One limitation of bespoke EU deals is they're less likely to be enthusiastic about agreements that can be ripped up every time a fickle UK electorate decides they want a more anti-foreign government. As opposed to a binding international treaty that is harder to renege on. Which brings us to 2029…

Have you noticed in any reference to NATO, Trump's admin already refers to it in the 3rd person? As a customer, not as as an integral member of it. The US has already left NATO. It just hasn’t formalised it yet.
During his first term, President Trump rattled NATO allies by telling them that if they didn’t pull their weight, he could “do his own thing.”

Now Washington appears to be doing just that in Russia, in the Middle East and pretty much everywhere else.
In Russia talks, NATO allies fear Trump is doing his ‘own thing’

Here's a thought. If we're running out of ammunition to send to Ukraine, maybe we could just send them some second hand Teslas instead...

Prediction:

Right wing press - Starmer should be fixing things in the UK rather than jetting around the world.

Also right wing press - Starmer brings shame upon the UK by not turning up to Notre Dame’s reopening.

Coming from an Acorn Electron with its single channel sound, blew my mind first time I heard sampled sound after getting an 800XL and loading Ghostbusters up.

On that other place, I tend only to reply. But now I’m dipping my toes in here, I suppose I ought to say something. So… erm… this is my cat’s profile on Only Fans.
