You’re not wrong! Authors are told that BookTok/Bookdtagram readers are demanding it, that third person is “throwing them” and they “can’t connect.” Because first person is nummier. There’s more emotional immediacy and the prose is more declarative, so more people “get it” more easily.

The phrase also invokes the immediacy of the innevetalbe by the casualness of the pronoun. Everyone dies, but we usually get to engage in a lot of other actions before so - Trump only is only capable of doing a rare few things now, and only one that merits much remarking upon.

The floral wreath complicates any easy reading of softness as flowers can mark celebration, grief, protection, or self-fashioning, and here they sit like chosen armor. Yiadom-Boakye has said viewers are tempted to politicize the fact that she paints Black figures, while her starting point is the “language of painting” itself. That tension leads to beauty and ambiguity all at once, granting this woman the right to be ordinary, enigmatic, and monumental.

The mood of the game is very unique too, managing to capture the magic of the original star wars films. There’s an immediacy to the sci fi setting, topics, and tech, but this resonant sense of mystery and awe ala epic or mythical fantasy storytelling. It manages to find the balance quite deftly.

allusions to real-life concepts can be a big aid to usability ("files and folders" perhaps being the most enduring and powerful example) but much of the power of computers is the directness and immediacy that you get specifically by avoiding the actual physical actions associated with these ideas

As to RVW, I couldn't care less whether he's a 'minor' (*) composer or not. His music touches the audience with an immediacy and an honesty which makes such adjectives irrelevant. It is "good" music - music pouring out from the soul of a good man.

Liljefors's lifelong activities as a hunter motivated his close study of animal life, and in his art he approached his subject not as a descriptive narrator, but as an ecologist, seeking to show animals in interaction with their environmental setting in the landscape. Moose Family Entering a Clearing is a strong example of Liljefors's late work. Through its convincing sense of immediacy, shimmering light effects, and accurately rendered subjects, the painting demonstrates the fine line between impressionism and painterly realism.

En plein air typifies the taste for French art and for the practice of executing landscapes out of doors. Whistler referred to the Twelve Etchings from Nature as the "French Set," so-called because the chief sources of inspiration were to be found in the avant-garde French art of the day. Working from a low vantage point, Whistler placed his model on the crest of a hill with a distant town and poplar tree behind her. The bright play of sun on her face, the veiled half-shadow cast by the parasol, the wind-whipped fringe and grasses all contribute to the immediacy of the scene and to the artist’s developing powers to capture nuances of his subject.
