#Immediacy
immediacy whooped my ass. patience is truly the key.

women want to be desired from a place of love, not lusted after.

to be seen, not consumed.
chosen, not chased for impulse.

desire rooted in love is patient. it listens. it honors boundaries. it makes a woman feel safe enough to soften. lust wants immediacy. love wants depth.

You’re not wrong! Authors are told that BookTok/Bookdtagram readers are demanding it, that third person is “throwing them” and they “can’t connect.” Because first person is nummier. There’s more emotional immediacy and the prose is more declarative, so more people “get it” more easily.

The phrase also invokes the immediacy of the innevetalbe by the casualness of the pronoun. Everyone dies, but we usually get to engage in a lot of other actions before so - Trump only is only capable of doing a rare few things now, and only one that merits much remarking upon.

Incitement requires imminence. Imminence requires immediacy. A riot hours later? Not immediate, not incitement.

Should I be held liable for saying “I hate Charlie Kirk and we’re better off without him” the day before he was shot?

And by ER MD and Brown parent @darakass.com the most wretched reality of what parents need to learn to do in the immediacy of this horror. Bracing, and essential. 2/ contrarian.substack.com/p/what-paren...

You could call it real bad ADHD. I prefer to call it Utmost Immediacy. And I'm going to master it.

The mood of the game is very unique too, managing to capture the magic of the original star wars films. There’s an immediacy to the sci fi setting, topics, and tech, but this resonant sense of mystery and awe ala epic or mythical fantasy storytelling. It manages to find the balance quite deftly.

allusions to real-life concepts can be a big aid to usability ("files and folders" perhaps being the most enduring and powerful example) but much of the power of computers is the directness and immediacy that you get specifically by avoiding the actual physical actions associated with these ideas

As to RVW, I couldn't care less whether he's a 'minor' (*) composer or not. His music touches the audience with an immediacy and an honesty which makes such adjectives irrelevant. It is "good" music - music pouring out from the soul of a good man.

SOOO….audio will be out there in like a fortnight or two⁉️🤣 #Goose

Cuz again—you should REALLY take a look at your organizational priorities & understand that the immediacy of availability of current catalog is directly congruent w/ growth/popularity😬🤷🏼‍♂️

kiblitzing.blogspot.com/2025/12/have... The Genesis Mini offered the best of both worlds, with the immediacy of an original Sega Genesis plus access to a formidable library of classic titles. The Atari 7800+... doesn't do that. Review in the link.

This just in! It's already December, somehow. It's not going to be one of my better Decembers... in fact, it could be the last December for...

Maybe because I’m in Actual Play spaces where there’s more concern about what/who one can play in front of an audience, about representation & narrative.

Maybe it’s thinking about @annakornbluh.bsky.social “immediacy” (though I think that roleplaying need not fall into unreflective trap).

Abuse, then, appears to be a responsibility that involves priority and immediacy.

The greater responsibility appears to be to the person receiving the abuse right now.

The greater priority appears to be attention to the abuse being done right now.
