So sooo good! I was lucky to see a Monkman exhibit when it toured through Canada for the 250 years of Confederation celebration (what a juxtaposition).

I'd recommend reading/viewing Waawaate Fobister's play Agokwe if you get a chance, too. ❤️

It feels so good to have PMMC acknowledge the three bedrock cultures that formed 🇨🇦. I have done my family genealogy & my family came to build Canada — the Scot’s before Confederation and the English before WW1. I am Canadian in a strong 🇨🇦 because of them. ❤️

This is from a poem called Vestigia, by Confederation poet Bliss Carman. I know said poem because I got to sing a musical setting of it by Imant Raminsh in choir as a kid - one of those magical experiences w music that sticks close to your heart forever afterward ❤️

I believe Saskatchewan sits on treaty land as well. If you didn't "join" confederation, you cannot secede... Both provinces need reasonable leaders who support Canada, respect the land, the treaties, and the people. ❤️🇨🇦 forever
