From the Masamune Shirow collection, I got some things to watch lol. It's kind of a shame Gundress was so cheaply made when the character design is good, for the main characters and it even got a PS1 game that looks pretty decent.

Gundress anime has some cool tech and mechs like the cybernetic hand laser whip that can slice mechs, but the animation and story are mediocre and better examples exist today.

Honestly the box art is VERY misleading. It says on the box it came out 1999 but look at this art. It looks like it predates GITS by about a decade. YES the budget is lower, and yes the story is dumber, but at least…well actually that’s about it. This one is NOT a hidden gem.
