78) THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON is a great film and if you compare it to ANACONDA or FRANKENFISH we can no longer be friends.

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
It’s so repetitive. It hasn’t aged well. The creature’s hand just keeps slowly reaching but the costume is really cool. If you want to watch something similar, watch Anaconda (1997) or Frankenfish (2004) instead.

But WHY?

Instead, watch Black Water: Abyss or Crawl, both delightful croc flicks (#7 & 8/92, respectively). Or Frankenfish! And Zombeavers is one of the two best movies about undead zombie beavers I’ve seen in the last decade.

We need to lean into the fact that Nicky III is an unlikable, dorky, awkward, sycophantic, boot-licking, sell Alaska out, shame and disgrace to his grandfather’s legacy, hates his own wife & children Nazi like JD Vance who wants Frankenfish & wants Alaskans to die.

I want Alaskans to feel 🤢 @ him.

387) Frankenfish

Very middle of the road campy monster movie with some occasionally cool moments to make up for the really dull first half. Dan's awesome too, love that guy. Uhhh yeah, this sure is Mark A. Z. Dippé's best movie I've seen so far by a landslide. I'd give it like a 5/10 probably.

375: Frankenfish

Yeah it's kinda whatever, had some funny moments and some good practical effects but most of the movie is pretty boring. Shoutout to the one guy that was funny, if you know you know.

374) Frankenfish

Certainly is Mark AZ Dippe's best movie. It's mostly kind of a boring slog, but it has some moments where the action and campyness actually get really good, and Dan is a genuinely hilarious character. Other than that, its just alright.

Unfortunately, they are highly invasive in North America. This is due to a generalized diet, lack of predators, parental care, and toughness. They can move over land and survive out of water up to 4 days. Frankenfish indeed. They were likely introduced as food fish, but are now spreading

It's time for #FishOfTheWeek and today I want to talk about a really cool fish that has become much maligned (not without reason) in North America. That's right, today we're gonna talk about the so-called Frankenfish. The snakehead

The Vagrant
They're Watching
Virus
Black Mountain Side
Bloodsucking Pharaohs in Pittsburgh
Phantom of the Mall
A Cold Night’s Death

Re-Watching Frankenfish (2004)!

Fishermen talk about the ones that got away, but have you ever wondered if giant killer fish do the same? I would guess the ones that got away would be the ones they bit & I bet their stories would be about how they tasted & how the coward got pulled from the water!
