Give a man a fish and someone with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about people getting free handouts. Teach a man to fish? Yeah, that person with a thousand fishes is going to bitch about that too.

The highest housing costs in Alaska are in our rural communities, where there are close to zero undocumented immigrants. Moreover, there is no statistical evidence of this nationwide, either state by state or over time. It's just a lie, and an embarrassment to Yale Law School.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Meanwhile, here's an example of the horrendous things found in Hillary Clinton's emails—the only story worth covering for any serious news outlet in 2016, apparently.

This email is also regarding a child who suffered abuse from a grown man.

Look, Donald Trump may have had a lengthy, well documented friendship with America’s most famous pedophile, and he may have spent decades giving quotes like “if there’s one thing I love, its beautiful girls—young ones, too,” but I just need 4-5 more drops of damning evidence to buy these accusations

I've always felt that news stories about the size of lottery jackpots are kind of gross. It's just free advertisement for the lottery, and feeds the impulses of gambling addicts. I get that it's "newsworthy" and drives clicks, but I still wish the various outlets would agree not to do it.

In the most predictable development ever, Mike Johnson is not committing to hold a House vote on ACA subsidies
November 10, 2025 at 10:19 PM
So, IF the Republicans in the Senate allow a vote on the ACA tax credits in December, what enforcement mechanism is there to guarantees that the House will take it up? The only reason they might have this time was because it was connected to the broader government funding...

It took a long time, but I'm finally done with my loans from law school. If you have them, I hope you all are able to put your student loans behind you at some point too.

Happy Veterans Day from the traitors at The Heritage Foundation.
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

It occurred to me today that there is a colorable argument for religious exemptions from the use of AI, in the military and likely elsewhere. Given that exemptions were granted for COVID vaccines--even for soldiers who had received other vaccines--I'd wager there are as strong or stronger claims.

Dems in array.
Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.
