Yep, copyright page train. (I won't bore you with the ISBN bit though 😉.)

As much as English orthography is all over the place, there are guidelines that can help, if you know the secrets. 😉

Sure…

Wrexham A.F.C. is a great example. Do Reynolds & McElhenney “care more” than other pro teams’ owners?

I’ll never say, because “care” can’t be measured. It’s business.

Reynolds & McElhenney put in the money; could have bought a MLB team, but an English Soccer Club scored them GLOBAL fame 😉

Some were executed for *not* performing assigned gender roles, especially on the mainland with the Fronch-adjacent like Jeanne la Pucelle. English is a fake language anyway; one might execute an assigned gender role and still be executed for it. 😉

In my books, a full English was/is meant for hardworking manual laborer on farms, construction sites etc. People who had coffee+toast before starting work and THEN after working hard for hrs already, they take a break and eat a Full English. Makes complete sense.

For the rest of us: pastry&fruit😉

Like typical English tourist in Poland. Now we know that they feel really good in Poland almost like at home 😉

I was an English major, so it has taken me a bit of thought to narrow down the flood of titles and authors that came to mind when I read your post 😉

I will choose “A Wizard of Earthsea” by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Sometimes mistaken for a children’s book, it is far deeper than it at first seems, and …

Look at us building the bridges between the Irish and English one furry chest at a time! 😉

Nice to see an entry in English 😉

@ciele.bsky.social it's in German with English subs! Didn't you tell me you want to improve your German skills?😉😉😉

Sorry Steve, I was referring to the choice of words. We're 'expats' when we go elsewhere, people emigrate from elsewhere to come to the UK... 😉
This is us Brits 'integrating' in Spain:

The only english band my parents knew from the ’60s before I got into that music was The Beatles. Recently, I shared some Moody Blues songs with them, and my dad seems to really enjoy them.

The Moody Blues even won over a salsa-loving man. I think it's the bass.😉

Native English speaker, here. Your sentence "Go fuck yourself" is perfect. Grammatically and normatively. 😉

That's true, but it seems implied in the Dog Man prologues that he and George not only improved in their studies at school thanks to their nice and passionate new English teacher, but that they also advanced in their comics so much that their artistic careers started very early on~ 😉

He has ‘the best words’, ‘best grasp of the English language’, creates words & phrases on the fly that no one else has used 😉 A remarkable feat - BS of highest type…🙄
Don’t worry though, he’s in full control of the Nukes & military….

Always been fond of tea and an English muffin with orange marmalade. Made me feel proper, it did. 😉

Interesting, as my children were discussing this product with their English cousins only yesterday. The English cousins said it is disgusting but I suspect our oldest son has already ordered some to find out for himself. I will go round when it arrives for purely scientific reasons.

You're cool 😉 This chair that I've had since 1979 has come with me to 3 houses and it caused comments, especially within my family.("It's so...yellow.") until its twin showed up in some period drama's 1770s English "Drawing Room" that my best friend saw. She put an end to it! 😂

But... it's not Not In English! 😉

On the plus side I think PPP (wait a second...) is on the verge of qualifying for the next stage now. Some of my other picks are looking a lot more singular though...

You are so English! Gutties is NI slang for trainers or plimsolls- googled it just for you and apparently the name is a shortened form of gutta-percha, a material derived from a Malaysian tree that was historically used for the soles of rubber-soled footwear. Every day is a school day 😉

dw That's advanced English. I was taught traditionally & I still don't know what "modal verb" means!

I could look it up, but I haven't had my 2nd coffee yet. 😉
