I believe in a better world.
Where people are put before money.
Where we think about the legacy for the next generation
Not the next election.
We are not all born equal,
But we, all things being equal, doors should be opened
Not minds closed.

Reminder that this government needs to "tax wealth, not work" if we are to improve the economy.

Poor people spend on goods and services. This grows the economy.

Rich people buy your homes, your business, your working hours.

If the party you vote for isn't planning on taxing wealth the same as work, you are harming small businesses (and their workers) who are the backbone of the country.

There comes a point when you can still see every crack and fissure and you need a new vase cos this one leaks like hell. I don't think your political system holds water anymore - too many holes. As you say, gop break (and they break and they break...). Dems' glue ain't gonna cut it this time

That final point is absolutely crucial.
The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

The refugee crisis is about to get worse.

Due to Climate Change.

Tehran's population of 55 million may need to be evacuated if there is no rainfall by December, after six unprecedented years of drought.

"Patriotic" billionaire Viscount Rothermere, motto: Bene Qui Sedulo (He who acts diligently acts well), moves the Daily Mail's assets to a "subsidiary" based off-shore in Jersey to avoid possible taxation ahead of the Budget.

Time to play "hide the copy" next supermarket trip?
Bless their little cotton socks, I'm sure they are upstanding patriots who relish the opportunity to fund our essential public services, to support the most vulnerable people in our society, and to vigorously uphold high moral values. #DailyMail

Out of the 57 (of 81) Kent County Council seats Reform won in May, suspensions and removals means 48 remain.

This week Isabella Kemp (Sheppey) was suspended.

Last week, Bill Barrett, Oliver Bradshaw and Paul Thomas, (+ Brian Black), were removed following investigations.

Always wary of getting too invested in any political figure, but Mamdani does so many great things here. He crouches down so they're speaking face-to-face. He repeats every question back. Not because he doesn't understand (clearly he does) but to make sure he's actually answering their question.
This is disability visibility.

Mamdani listened. He didn’t pander or talk over the disabled journalist.

He acknowledged his concerns and gave real responses about how he plans to fix them.

1 in 4 Americans has a disability, it’s a huge number of voters.

Here in the UK, I've had free electricity from Octopus about once a month or more. I got my old fan heater out & warmed the place up nicely for 3 hours, when it was blowing outside.

Not much, but I'll take it.
Low bills & clean energy.

This is the future that Reform is trying to thwart
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

New strategy:

Refute their point, for OTHER people to see the logical fallacy in their post.

Then block - which infuriates them as they can see, but no longer reply to or interact with, your posts.
