In late April 2015, a situation led me to a YouTube video with fragments of ’60s and ’70s tracks. If one caught my attention, I’d write it on a list to seek out later… or so I intended. In the end, the songs found me.

The Moody Blues even won over a salsa-loving man. I think it's the bass.😉

I went out with my sister and her partner to the mall, and "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" was playing. Out of nowhere, I suddenly said REALLY loud, “It’s Roy Wood! The song, Roy Wood, his birthday is tomorrow!”

When I first heard this song, the lyrics made me laugh. But now I'm starting to realize why I like it so much. I prefer the faster version feels closer to the kind of freedom they’re singing about.

How could I not love the rain? It makes the temperature bearable, it’s beautiful to watch the drops fall, and today it forced me to stay close to a guy who had been talking about The Beatles and the counterculture of the ’60s. I hope he’s real so I can see him again.

I was watching The Move play "Walk Upon the Water" on Beat Club and remembered I said the same thing a year ago. Hearing Bev Bevan made me want to play drums, but let’s be real, it’s probably not happening this time either. Drums are for bold people.
These days I’ve been obsessed with The Jam and "Sound Affects". Listening to Rick Buckler makes me want to go back to my drum lessons.
