Agreed--those clouds! Also Pulichenello cuts such an eerie figure that he adds some edge to that fête-champetre stuff.

I’m in Northeast, my street is much quieter than normal, it’s almost eerie. We know how to deal with a little cold snap, I wonder if those cosplaying proud boys do? I hope they all have one pair of cotton socks.🧦

But way to score showing more of her form. The deranged double set of jaw's, the grimy feel of her or the Cupcake's teeth is so damn good. And showing off her midsection with the foot is a great addition. Same to much you show the revealed metal skeleton and keep the image so dark/eerie. Bravo! ^-^

I think the way Maki called out to her mother in a very child like way was so perfectly eerie. She was calm, despite loosing Mai and massacring everyone moments ago, but still had this childish want in looking for her mother. It was such a good moment.

What happens is horrible and eerie, but it is unimpactful. The storytelling is roundabout and a bit repetitive. Sometimes authors affect a writing style in a prologue that does not carry over into the main narrative, but I find more of the same in chapter 1.
