#Dietician
My main issue is vitamins screw with my digestive issues. But I have some that are just painful and don’t have many other consequences, so I’m taking them for now. They are the same brand my dietician used to prescribe and include D and B12 and selenium which I tend to have issues getting. 🤞💜

That is not enough calories, full stop.

Cutting calories is not going to work.

Speak to a dietician and focus on increasing healthy habits, not reducing your food intake.

You can *lose weight* and *look better* by *eating more*.

I already have to take really drastic measures to not have the same exact issue from my chemo. I'm not gonna deal with this anymore. The dietician suggested I skip foods with high fiber to avoid setting off the metformin. Like... The ones I'm supposed to eat to help my blood sugar not spike?

I've been eating soup for breakfast every day for weeks now. It is incredibly filling, warming and my dietician says healthy and common in other countries

I make a huge batch of pho broth, then every morning it's 1-2 bowls with rice noodles, daikon, bok choy, onions, tofu and shrimp or beef 🤤

Dietician advised me to follow certain diet (i.e low-sodium or bland meals), drinking enough still water and doing light exercise (i.e brisk walk, cycling & swimming). Any kind of medication pills are prohibited as not to strain my kidneys and always relied on remedies instead.

There aren't standards for nutritionist. Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist so quality varies wildly. A Dietician is a more reliable prospect.

I've heard that. I'm going to see a dietician before I start.

Dr. Phil? In YOUR college?!

I guess he was just as qualified to be a dietician as a psychologist.

A friend is struggling with self image problems that he attributes to weight.

I was there recently myself. People treat you different.

Im lucky. I lost weight by accident. Im not a fitness expert or dietician or doctor, but i know the struggle.

As a vegan, you need to be aware of your protein needs and make sure you get enough B12. Both of which can be managed without animal products. To my knowledge, you need not fear that your skeleton will turn into yogurt.

But I don't know. I'm not a registered dietician.

4. w/that program + a coupon program from Zepbound my cost is only $25 a month with insurance
5. overall it feels like a lot to have the program itself, a dietician, a pharmacist, a dedicated RN to navigate appointments and ?s, and the PCP meetups but the net cost to me is $25/visit for each of them

GLP-1 experience so far:

1. first step was getting dedicated pharmacist who made sure I understand all the things and to consult if I have issues or questions
2. also was set up with a dietician who specializes in binge eating
3. have a program that I submit progress to in form of BP/weight/meals

I became a vegetarian decades ago. I kept getting concerned comments about getting enough protein, so I talked to a dietician. She had me write down everything I ate for 3 days. Her analysis said I was getting plenty of protein.

I didn't know she was a registered dietician! Surely she is! Why else would she get this platform??????
Ballymaloe founder Darina Allen has blasted the Hot School Meals programme as “not fit for purpose” during an appearance before TDs this morning.

But Allen received pushback from some who pointed to children getting reliable meals thanks to the policy.
