The Chancellor's operation targeting Sudetenland can advance German interests—but it's unclear whether it actually will.

The GOP IS the Nazi party (with a Christofacism flavor).

They've been following the Chancellor's playbook (since even before the 2024 election).

This is just another page from the Chancellor's script: Lebensraum.

Scoff if you must, but this IS just the plain truth.

Not really a fan of my chancellor's reaction myself, but that's quite a lot of non-sequitur from a supposed historian...

Not just regime change, just straight-up imperialism. Not speculation, straight from the Chancellor's mouth.

Bristol Airport has hugely expanded in recent years. There’s a bus service from the city, no rail link, so car usage has soared. Now charging £8.50 to drop off (10 minutes). Blaming the Chancellor’s budget. No, it’s taking the p1ss.

NYC education people: anyone know if there are any ongoing/existing longitudinal studies of the NYCPS Diversity in Admissions schools? I work in one—we have a 66.6% set aside for kids who qualify for free lunch. Given new chancellor’s interest in school integration plans, this seems like useful info

Analysing the Chancellor's Tax Options - NIESR
What will be the effect of raising one of the four main taxes in the autumn Budget. A rise in the rate of income tax would appear to be the least damaging.

Extending Edward Chancellor’s argument in the ‘Price of Time’ - the ‘business idiot’ is a symptom of persistent low interest rates, which artificially lowers opportunity costs & distorts capital allocation decisions.

Reeves stealth taxes ‘hammering’ workers while pensioners and benefits claimants ‘better off’

Labour chancellor’s freeze on tax thresholds will mean a worker currently earning £50,000 would be £505 worse off by 2030-31, analysis finds

The ONLY way it should be. Lucasfilm reps say replacing Sebastian Shaw with Hayden Christensen is because Anakin "died" when he became Vader.

He physically died on the Death Star as Anakin. He "killed" Vader in the same way he "killed" Anakin in the Chancellor's office.

What’s perhaps depressing is that since the “mini Budget”, gilt yields have remained higher than peers. It makes any chancellor’s job that much trickier

The scene in the Chancellor’s office plays out as in canon. Palpatine convinces Anakin that Dooku never left the Jedi, and that the Jedi were helping the Separatists from the start. Obi Wan tries in vain to convince Anakin otherwise on Mustafar, but at this point Anakin can’t admit Dooku was a Sith.

Ah, now I'm fondly remembering the WU Womens Society lunch (an annual, very large event at the chancellor's residence) which was overseen by Harriet Switzer and not Mrs Danforth. One year, the guest count kept changing all morning, and this was not a trivial thing.
