#CERN-like
I’ve had many well-known friends over the years and I’ve always treated them like regular people. The only time I’ve ever acted like a groupie was an encounter with one of the physicists from the ATLAS Project at CERN.

How the Web Became Free, Open, and Social
In 1989, Tim Berners-Lee developed HTML, HTTP, and URLs at CERN, creating the World Wide Web to improve document sharing. This revolutionized publishing, enabling anyone to share content online. Search engines like Google solved the discovery problem, leading to the growth of social media, notably Facebook, which emphasized real connections.

Do you plan to release them under an Open Hardware license like CERN-OHL?

Scientists Recreate Cosmic Fireballs To Solve Gamma Ray Mystery
Inside a cavernous hall at CERN, a beam of protons struck a graphite target and ignited a plasma that looked, in miniature, like the heart of a blazar. These fleeting fireballs, created by physicists from the University of Oxford and collaborators worldwide, may finally explain why high-energy gamma rays from distant galaxies vanish before reaching Earth. The team used the Super Proton Synchrotron at CERN to generate dense streams of electrons and positrons, mimicking the charged particle jets emitted by supermassive black holes.

A woman is the most beautiful with an enlarged round belly that looks like it's ready to burst. This has been studied by CERN in their particle physics laboratory over the last decade. They put me in there and fed me Antiprotons until my tummy was a perfect sphere. Then they tickled me. Physics.

#CMSpaper soon on arXiv: Search for single production of a vector-like T quark decaying to a top quark and a neutral scalar boson in the lepton+jets final state in proton-proton collisions at √s = 13 TeV (CERN-EP-2025-228) https://cds.cern.ch/record/2947474 #NewPhysics

Some people like to jokingly blame the death of Harambe in May 2016 for being the single flashpoint event that fundamentally altered our timeline.

Personally, my sworn enemy is the stupid weasel that short-circuited the Large Hadron Collider at CERN a month prior to Harambe's death.

Cern is super cool I love how there's like. Just sheep grazing on top. Not their fault the Higgs Boson theory turned out to be accurate in a boring way lol

We're glad to support CERN — birthplace of the World Wide Web — with our expertise and experience in increasing the resilience of critical #DigitalInfrastructure. It’s the kind of action we want to see more of: organizations like CERN actively supporting the open technologies they use daily. 2/3

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is paying 100 bucks for AAA games in their current state. I am not rewarding an industry for crunching the life out of devs so they can push out 500gb day one patch unityslop that runs like shit even if you play it on the supercomputer they got at CERN

Great news, Ireland is now a CERN member!

If you are ever in Geneva, I highly recommend visiting CERN.

You can tour both buildings, the fancy spherical one & the one across the road that looks like an office block.

I went there during my honeymoon & saw the 1st www server! 😀

Quantumchronodynamics is not compatible with naive rejection of poststructualism as ideas of causation, objectiveness or just newtonian mechanics are disproven by physics. Also inference statistics prove patriarchy. If you dont like that you have to also reject CERN which does the same methodically

Finding an intelligent criminal, is like knowing a CERN Particle Physics Professor. Exceedingly rare in comparative populations.

While I'm not allowed to make changes for this update, the moment CERN stops looking over my shoulder, I'll make it so you can like lick the inside of your wrist to switch sex, the current hormonal and surgical exploits are causing unexpected societal issues.

In her pre-WoL years, Serenais was a world-class aetherologist in Sharlayan. In modern AU she would likely either be a nuclear phycist at CERN, Fermilab or the like, or teach (and work on theory of) nuclear physics at a university in western Europe.
Unless we talk Eorzea-but-modern, in which (...)
