Question 1: why do tenured black faculty tell their junior untenured black faculty to keep their heads down?

Question 2: why are these same faculty boasting black excellence on social media?

Answer: black excellence is not revolutionary.

Three, inevitably given these circumstances most of what we know is going to be anecdotal, based on people's personal experiences and whisper networks -- which, I imagine given you just cited #BlackInTheIvory, is not ipso facto invalid as a source of knowledge. (Also from THE CHRONICLE)

Black/Native scholars on that other app refuted a ww's double down that her "kindness wins" approach created any "culture change" by maintaining the status quo. Folks clearly didn't believe the #BlackInTheIvory stories of 2020. This shadow report is a reminder.
