It’s #BlackFridayParking day, so we took a visit to the Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT.
Even on the busiest day of the year—a day where the front side of the mall is packed—the back side and parking garage has more than enough space!

#BlackFridayParking Solution for Los Altos: charge a little for the street parking, just enough so that a couple spaces are available on each side every block. Everyone could get the best spaces if they were willing to pay a small charge, and free off-street parking would be available a block away.

Car parking lots take up about at least 20 m² (220 ft²).
A studio apartment can be done in that area. A one bedroom apartment in 40 m², a two bedroom in 80 m² and a three bedroom in maybe 160 m².
Let's say you can build apartments occupying 60% of land....
