This is the harsh reality of Eby’s LNG experiment. Kitimat is BC’s gas guinea pig — asthma rates are rocketing, the gas flare casts a dystopian 24-hour daylight and rental prices are sky-high. Together, we can get out of this boom-bust cycle and reclaim BC’s economy for working people.⚡️ #kitimat

If It Didn’t Work, End It: The Long Collapse of BC’s Failed Drug Policy Experiment

If It Didn’t Work, End It: The Long Collapse of B.C.’s Failed Drug Policy Experiment

It's the same opinion.

Carney's motivation is to boost GDP by exporting more O&G.

Won't boost real GDP. Will hurt the environment - BC's coast, the coast of the destination country, the ocean in between, and the planet's atmosphere.

Second day has just begun with Crown lawyer representing BC's Attorney General downplaying the gravity of this case, arguing the judge should not view it as an inquiry into how the #RCMP treats journalists.
"This is about one arrest and one detention - not a pattern of conduct issue."

They're totally going to let it lapse.

With NDP like BC's, who needs conservatives?

Nearly a year this wreck has been slowly breaking apart on the Newfoundland coast. No measures in place to prevent it e.g. rescue towing capacity, no one watching these vessels when they transit Can waters. So we want this in BC's north coast with a loaded tanker?

Thank you Minister for the ongoing support of BC's public education system.

I love them all, big, little, fat or thin I can't really pick a fave. But the delicate little Japanese maple and a big old honkin' horse chestnut are obvious winners.
But absolutely nothing will ever compare to the giant old growth forests of BC's northern coast. It was a moving experience.

I've spent a lot of time over the years looking at BC's wildfire history and my opinion, FWIW, what was uncommon on Vancouver Island, for a very short time, was the lack of larger wildfire occurrences.

Thank you for this context and advice, Jane! The headlines have been so alarming this last year it’s easy to be misled about the reality. I was born in a state which (surprisingly) still allows changes. And my hope is they will not revert BC’s. It’s hard to overstate how important it is to us.

I also suspect the chronic inability to take digital privacy seriously is related to the two biggest political parties enjoying the information they can obtain from a slack privacy regime, as seen in the recent intervention to stop BC's information commissioner from applying their rules.

Screening alone isn’t enough

BC’s K–3 literacy screening identifies students - without $, resources, or intervention, it won’t help them succeed

BCTF: identifying concerns≠investing in support

#DyslexiaBC agrees-early identification must B paired with funded, EvidenceBased intervention
