I am fucking wiped tonight so think I'm just gonna have a couple drams of Scotch for Burns Night, but I'll try to make them count. First up is Auchentoshan. The only lowland single malt I own, but it's earned a place in my cabinet.

Lagavulin or Auchentoshan. I mean, I've drunk a hundred really good whiskys but those two are great exemplars of their type. There's also a lovely Orcadian whisky whose name escapes me now.

I want a beer to reflect my life experience so I'll have a bitter called Two Hens Misery 🤣😂😅😂🤣happy new year Tim I had a nice IPA at my local with pals called Conqueror with Auchentoshan single malt chasers while having a lot of fun with friends.

So a big thing in Taiwan is bringing your own bottle of whiskey to dinner. Restaurants will usually have a selection, but it's going to be something bog standard like Singleton. A second table has shown up next to us and they have a bottle of Dewars and a bottle of Auchentoshan.

Small things. My dad would get me a bottle of Scotch for Christmas every year. I can get my own Scotch, I'm an adult, but it was nice to see what he'd alternate with my favorite (Auchentoshan), always with a story of who recommended it.
