VAN HOLLEN: Did you in fact make the visit to Epstein's private island?

LUTNICK: I did have lunch w/ him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me as were my 4 children and nannies. We had lunch on the island. That's true. For an hour. We left with all of my children

Refreshing to see criminal and journalistic investigations go forward in Norway. The scandal is meaningful and there is a meaningful response. All of us should do so well.

Khanna: "Here we have a sitting cabinet member, Lutnick, who's all over the files as having a business relationship allegedly and personal relationship alleged after Epstein was convicted. He's allegedly lied about his relationship. And there's no consequence. We need to get real in this country."

This is the FBIโ€™s list of โ€œProminent Namesโ€ it was tracking in the Epstein Case. This list appears in this slide show, FBI email correspondence, and FBI tip sheets โ€” all of which I saw unredacted today. Believe the survivors.

You can see this file on DOJโ€™s website

VAN HOLLEN: You mentioned you were accompanied by nannies when you went to Epstein island. Do you know whether the nanny you had on that trip was the same nanny that Epstein expressed interest in meeting?

LUTNICK: I have no idea about that whole thing

Rep. Lieu: โ€œHoward Lutnick must resignโ€ฆโ€ŠThe Epstein Files new release shows that not only did Howard Lutnick lie to the American people, he went into business with Jeffrey Epstein, he visited Epstein Island, and Howard Lutnick did this knowing how evil Epstein was.โ€

VAN HOLLEN: Why do the Epstein files show you coordinating a meeting and planning a visit with Jeffrey Epstein on his private island in December 2012?

LUTNICK: I barely had anything to do with that person, okay?

Todd Blanche gives away the game here.

Rep. Massie nails it.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act does not permit redacting the identifying information of the men involved!

This morning, I went to see what were supposed to be the completely unredacted Epstein files. However, some of the files were still redacted by Kash Patelโ€™s FBI.

Hereโ€™s my reaction.

Howard Lutnick must resign as Commerce Secretary because he lied about his close dealings with Jeffrey Epstein. After Epsteinโ€™s sex trafficking conviction, Lutnick went into business with him! Of course there are many other reasons why Lutnick is unfit for public office, as this thread shows. 1/7๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต๐Ÿงต

2/2 Could see some of this coming back in December when Blanche cited the Privacy Act as a basis for redactions/withholding documents.โฌ‡๏ธ

Blanche did not mean the victims' privacy! He meant men doing things like sharing a torture video with Epstein.

A key to understand how the Bondi DOJ may be trying to hide information on other men implicated in Epstein's crimes:

Note how Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's letter to Congress says DOJ is redacting information not only permitted by the Epstein Act but also ... the Privacy Act.โฌ‡๏ธ
