I understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance".

It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder".

The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.

Is AI behind the recent growth in cyberattacks? And if so, is AI the threat to our future that could bring down all the systems on which we now depend, rather than being the great hope for growth that so many claim it to be? www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/09...
Is AI going to kill society as we know it?
As the FT and many others in the media are noting today, the chaos resulting from a cyberattack on JLR - the Jaguar Land Rover car company - is ongoing. The company has now, in fact, been shut down fo...

- Sadiq Khan is not introducing Sharia law in the UK
- We do not have a massive free speech problem here.
- Britain is not on the verge of civil war.
These are not controversial subjects or contested, they're just not true.

Shouldn’t just be restricted to cancer scientists either.

Picked up some Lib Dem stats at conference. Some of these surprised me (especially given media coverage):

1. The Liberal Democrats now control more councils than the Conservative Party

2. In May's local elections in England, the LDs elected more councillors than either Labour or the Tories.

Tax the rich.
