The fact that anyone, anywhere, ever, that gives a fuck about diamonds/rubies/etc. actually CARES whether or not their stone is natural or lab grown is the ultimate testament to human irrationality.

Nobody had to tell anyone they had no choice, this was the new normal, get used to it.
