This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

We elected a man everyone who matters in this country knew was an idiot. The bulk of them refused to say so openly and directly — either because they thought he could do something for them or because there are political and journalistic norms against speaking that way.

Let’s be clear. He sold $2.4 billion of his stock the day before he announced tariffs. He’s now crashing the stock market deliberately. He will then buy stock when it’s fallen through the floor. All this is is him stiffing everyone to get richer. That’s it.

The reason that the US is locking up tourists for weeks in hellish detention centers rather than letting them book tickets back home is because the detention centers are owned by corporations. They are charging the taxpayers fortunes to cage these people, and making bonanzas off their suffering.
