googled something and clicked a link to a website I'd never heard of that looked like a forum, read the discussion and realized the person asking a question and all of the answers were all LLM generated, the entire website was a fake forum pretending to be people asking/answering questions

Anyone saying "It's Newsom or Trump" - Are you just so inured to picking the lesser evil that when a vacuum opens up, you immediately reach for the first lesser evil you can find to fill it? You have literal years to push for better candidates. If you're saying this now, you *are* the problem.
The thing about accepting Newsom's depravity against trans people or the homeless on the grounds of "Yeah, that's bad, but we have to beat Trump or it'll be worse." is that by accepting it, you mark it as acceptable, both within your mind and in the larger world around you.
