not to point at anyone in particular, but I have been in and on many different internet communities of various shapes/sizes/technologies and one mistake I consistently see made is assuming the technical part of running a community is the hard part.

it's not.
it's the social part.
it's moderation.

Everyone expects tech support to be a nightmare.

What if you turned it into a pleasant surprise?

That's an easy way to thrill customers and stand out. For companies of any size.

in the future one of the perks of some jobs will be that you're not compelled to use AI, and not challenged to justify not using it at every step.

and not just normal amounts of money. radio shack made money. software tools easily make money. we could all have beautiful careers making things that are useful and valuable and make money from doing it.

these fuckers just have to make ALL the money, and kill anything that doesn't
I hate how much the tech industry (which is actually finance) has made me hate technology. I was a little girl who hung out at Radio Shack. I went to college where BASIC was invented and "artificial intelligence" was coined.

And all these fuckheads care about is making money.

There was always something weird about the build in public movement that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. But this framing identifies it for me because those who helped rather than build always resonated more with me (in a positive way)
This was lots of fun 🤓

I'll take "helping people in public" over "build in public" any day!
Just finished an hour long conversation about launches and early stage marketing with @alexhillman.com SO much good stuff!!

One of my favorite interviews ever, can’t wait to share the recordings

free masterclass on launching from my biz partner @alexhillman.com:
Alrighty so Andrew shared some details about how his waitlist didn’t respond well to his recent “launch.”

I have some analysis and recommendations. ✨

Sharing them in a new thread so they might help others who have (or will) make similar mistakes!

Let's get started:

(1/x)
Would love to hear other’s experience marketing pre-product.

We have a waiting list of about 150 and are a few weeks away from having the product ready for testing. I sent an email to the list asking people to schedule a call to be “founding users” and I got one response.

Am I the only one who feels less inspired by tech these days? AI but also…everything? Is this everyone or a getting older thing or a me thing?

I’m honestly curious.
