This is harrowing, but it needs to be heard. No matter what the rights and wrongs are of what is driving events in Gaza, what my good friend and colleague @khawlabadwan.bsky.social describes in her poems is the reality of the outcome. #KeepTellingOfGaza
And thank you so much to you all for producing this video, for sharing the words, for adding this moving multiplicity of voices, and for bringing words on the screen to be lived, passed on, witnessed, uttered in care, and breathed out in pain and solidarity.

They are not the solution, but if robust, validated carbon markets can bring levels of private investment into climate mitigation, I think we have to use them. Public funds (certainly in UK) are not enough….

If we're going to start hearing claims that soil carbon sequestration on working agricultural lands can offset all of agriculture's GHG emissions (no way) or bring CO₂ down to pre-industrial levels (nooooooo way), I'm leaving this explainer here to show why that's impossible.
