I really hate to ask for help like this, but I'm way in over my head after a hospital visit last month and was just hit with another $500 bill on top of the one I was already trying to pay.

I have just learned that French drains are named for inventor Henry Flagg French.
Somebody should document this phenomenon so we can name it after them, but ideally somebody with a weird last name so it can be called the "False Effect" or the "Erroneous Naming Law" or whatever.

I've been away from Python for a bit, and project setup seems to have advanced a lot from one obviously correct way to do things. Where there was setuptools + pip + pip-tools + venv, there is now `uv`, `pixi`, `poetry`, `pdm`, more?

one of the weird but also cool things about getting back into doll photography is that sometimes people will talk to me about photography stuff!
But I am a very no thoughts head empty kind of person when I take photos, so I have been slowly learning how to articulate how & why I do the things I do

My photo pet peeve is when people put a random blurry object in the foreground because they think it adds vibes when actually it is very distracting. I'm a big fan of this trick myself to frame a scene, but you gotta know when it's not working!!!

At the Quack House soft opening waiting for Cantonese roast duck 🤤🤤🤤 Their old Chinatown location (Hing Lung) was my favorite, so I was really sad when they moved far away. Glad there's a new location nearby now!

i left two boys in a room overnight and when i came back they had molded together and hardened into a terrible helix of jagged crystal. completely inseparable, couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began. ruined my nice maid uniforms too
the problem with boys is that they are always kissing each other. you look away for two seconds and boys are making out with tongue, disheveling their maid uniforms etc
