To the extent I feel patriotic toward any particular place, it is toward the type of cosmopolitan city where a Muslim kid can eat bagels and lox.
Mamdani: Where else can you hear the sound of the steel pan, savor the smell of sancocho, and pay $9 for coffee on the same block? Where else could a Muslim kid like me grow up eating bagels and lox every Sunday?

Work wanted to be nice and gave everyone a turkey or a ham to have for the holidays. They assumed I wouldn't want ham for kosher reasons and gave us a turkey instead. A ham would have been so much easier I just want my fridge space to not be held hostage by a dead plucked fat bird. 😭😭😭

Okay so... Sonic Racing slaps hard? Like real hard? Loved Mario Kart World but this is definitely scratching that "traditional arcade racer" feel right now.
If you told 10 year old Joel he'd be excited to get a Sonic game at age 32 he'd say: "Wait... Sonic is good now?"
