The thing about tanking anxiety in XIV is that the game has simplified tanking to a degree where most tanks are actually just going "im da king of da highway" through the whole dungeon without pressing buttons, and you likely won't realize it unless you've played for like 7,000 hours. So dw about it

i love dragon age a lot but i will readily admit it suffers from the x-men problem in that narratives about oppression become kind of fragile when the oppressed party is a walking nuke with human ethical foibles

It's all "I want WOL to get hurt more" until it happens in a way that's cool and interesting and actually questions/confronts WOL's agency, then it's an affront to the MSQ and "unsafe" for players. See also: the 4.0 scripted Zenos fights, In from the Cold, literally anything to do with Ilberd,
