Update since it's been a while.
I've been waiting for MI NWS offices to open up since family ties prevent me from moving across the country. I'm back home & working restaurant jobs in the meantime.
Also, I haven't been active bc Twitter has never been my thing.
Given the state of the world, I'm ok

Here are snapshots from the last four runs of the GFS weather model showing a hurricane landfall in Florida in the middle of next week. **IF** that happens, 2024 would tie the 1886 record with SIX hurricane landfalls on the U.S. Gulf coast. The next name on the list is #Sara.

These need to make a comeback, officially. I’ve said it before, shortly after I joined here, but translucent controllers in a wide variety of colors were one of the best things from the late 90’s/early 00’s and it’s borderline criminal that they went away.
