I'm essentially paying Netflix $20/month for Detroiters. I need a damn box set!

I didn't think this was unpopular, but I really think I prefer this Sixers team without Joel and PG. They've had to adapt without them, and they've gotten pretty good at it. This team is fun, and watching them play so differently when Joel is out there (slower, worse, imo) bums me out.

Why do headlines say "norms shattered" when what is meant is "laws broken" or "Constitution violated"?

“When was Joe Biden president?” remains the most difficult question in politics
Who was the president in 2018 when you lost your show?

Who was the president in 2023 when you got your new show?

There's a lot of serious shit happening right now that much more adept people are speaking on than me; so aside from that, I just want to say, this new Liquid Glass motif kinda blows? It's giving Windows Vista, and everything now looks disjointed instead of intentional, and unnecessary animations?!

In all my years eating baba ganoush, I've never had it with mayo...and my partner just bought some that has mayo in it??? It's bizarre and gross (and not vegan, obviously)...is baba ganoush with mayonnaise...normal?

I feel like it was Mitt Romney during his ‘12 campaign where he misused “peak” when he meant “peek”, and I remember it being a big joke…until a bunch of people started using “peak” for “peek”. It’s such a minor thing, but I feel like that was trying to teach me a life lesson.

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

There's that scene in Blackberry where Mike hears the modem buzzing in the office and it's driving him nuts, and I just had that same moment thinking I had tinnitus before realizing it was my airpods charging on my magsafe. The high-pitched buzzing is crazy loud.

I hate these people, and I know someone is going to say that we should be trying to reach them, but I am sick of playing along with their bullshit. They knew, they didn't care until it impacted their community.
Yes, you did vote to deport moms.

My YouTube now puts the same two ads in a video every 2-3 minutes, and it's driving me insane.

I wanted to give Industry a try, made it to episode 7, and I just...it's not for me? These characters are written like immature idiots, and it makes it hard to watch. Plus, there's very little plot? I don't know why I'm supposed to care about anything anyone does.

Who do I have to talk to about putting a Tidal app on the PS5. Also, put Apple Podcasts on there too, you cowards. I have insomnia, and I want to listen to @reckless.bsky.social while I drive around Night City.

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

There’s a big trend on TikTok/Instagram right now where everyone is waiting for Trump to declare martial law on April 20. It’s so frustrating to watch because their idea of fascism comes with a lot more cartoonish theatrics than the reality.
One thing I wish people understood about authoritarianism is life often looks more or less the same. Troops aren’t marching down the street every day; people go to restaurants, have their office jobs. But everyone knows that stepping out of line, even slightly, can derail your life with no recourse

I worked a wedding that had a pretty decently-sized MAGA contingent. One of the younger bros takes a frustrated look at the menu and asks "Don't you have any domestics, or they all just from the brewery?" and I said "I don't know how you get more domestic than 15 feet away"

NBA 2K25 is a great example of why I miss physical games.

I haven't bought an NBA game since 2K12. I love it. Every couple of years I get an itch for it for a month or so, and it's the only reason I keep my 360 around. I know the new games are now tiny incremental tweaks & microtransactions 1/x

You know what would make streaming ads better? Bumpers. Terrestrial tv commercial breaks *feel* like breaks: they’re intentional, they announce themselves, they’re fairly diverse. Streaming ads give you the same five ads, cut in at awkward times and are universally hated.

I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I'm watching Black Doves, and there is a very important name that keeps getting repeated for effect, but as a Pittsburgher I find absolutely hilarious, every time.
