I find it curious that novel writing is a career where, by and large, doing it for a long time and becoming more experienced and accomplished at your craft is celebrated far, far less than your first attempt at it.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.
Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

i will say that we have never experienced anything like an administration trying to essentially freeze the activities of the entire federal government while making a series of illegal power grabs. genuinely unclear to me what kind of response, if any, these guys are generating against them
