Seconding this: never ever ever connect a device to a random USB socket unprotected, ever. I don't even trust USB condoms because they're too easy to fake and I don't have the capacity to verify them. Charge a power brick, unplug it, and only then charge your device from it.

I have just had the unhappy realization that the last 5.6k I added to this project put me into a dead end and away from where I want to focus.
I started a new scene and already it's flowing better. So. That is gonna put me behind on the total manuscript goal T_T
