I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

I just had an ENTIRE 6th GRADE CLASS email me with questions about ancient Egypt because their teacher *assigned them to do it.* What in the actual fresh hell? Teachers, there is this magical place called a LIBRARY, full of BOOKS, which have WORDS and KNOWLEDGE. Do your job. Mine ain't this.

I get the pushback to Bluesky in that it further bifurcates our media ecosystem. But at this point, Twitter’s content moderation is so nonexistent and its verified users so extreme that the choice becomes either move away from Twitter or be subjected to straight up 4chan nazi bile on a daily basis.
