The big gas and oil companies have been having it their way for too long. We are calling for a 25% tax on gas exports. This would have raised $17.1 billion in the 2023-2024 financial year. Enough to build 50,000 new homes.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, what would The Donald say if an Aus company exported $17 B of American gas and didn't pay any tax?

Why do we accept this level of incompetence from our regulators?

So the Australian Labor government have jumped at the chance to expel an Iranian diplomat on the allegation of anti semitic behavior. Meanwhile Israeli diplomats not only remain but lecture us as they blithely murder journalists, medicos, bomb and starve innocent children in Gaza and the West Bank 😏

When I still had X, this guy started appearing in my feed. I genuinely thought it was a parody account. Surely nobody could be that big a fuckwit? Wrong! And now he’s the US Ambassador to Malaysia. Cannot believe how far the USA has fallen.

@albomp.bsky.social hey Prime Minister. Please do not be sucked into thinking you need to take notice of this shonky anti semitism report. It’s massive over reach and mocks your intelligence and mine.

Good article. Let’s see if the Libs are smart enough to see this as the opportunity to reinvent and rebrand that it could be.

I reckon they’ll fuck it up.
While both parties have said they’d like to reunite eventually, the Liberals have a lot to gain by going it alone.

This is quite an extraordinary table from Streem showing how many seats each party would have won if their share of seats matched their share of media coverage during the campaign.

You're not imagining it. The Murdoch press et al didn't shut up about Dutton. Lucky no-one was listening. #auspol

Think hard before your next feed of “wild caught” prawns or fish. This is the aquatic equivalent of clear felling forests on land. Raises tough questions for those that have a default setting of opposition to aquaculture.
I will forever be haunted by this footage.

Trawling has only been filmed underwater a few times in documentary history, and never with such clarity.

What’s so heart-rending about these shots is watching how the animals don’t just get swept up — they swim for their lives.
