This is what people who "didn't really like Trump but wanted a change" cannot seem to understand. They fucked it up for the entire nation. There are only guardrails on a paved, well-maintained road. That's not the road we're on any longer.
I think Americans, blessed with relatively stable government for a long time, assume there is someone, some adult, who will step in and make things right before the President does anything REALLY bad.
