Evening rush hour in Utrecht.

Much more efficient than if everyone were in a car, without the constant noise and air pollution and without grinding the complete city center to a halt.

Now who wouldn't wanna commute like this?!

My favorite fact about the NYC subway is that there are way more daily riders (about 4 million) than the number of people who fly in the US out of all airports every day (~2.5 million). The scale is hard to get a grasp on.
Max capacity passengers per hour:
* Boring Co’s Vegas Loop: 4,500
* NYC subway 6 train: 105,000

“Every $1,300 New York invested in building bike-lanes in 2015 provided benefits equivalent to 1 additional year of life at full health over the lifetime of all city residents, according to a new economic assessment.”

Bike-lanes are a sound public health investment.

Traffic calming projects don’t have to be expensive or take decades to design, they can just be extensions of existing infrastructure

Private Passenger Vehicles are only efficient tools if no one else is using one. Right now it looks like everyone who is has one is out driving it around. And honking at each other. Remember everyone, you are not "in" traffic you "are" traffic!
