I was thinking about life today and I realized that I could think about life all day everyday, and still not have any clue if anything I'd thought was anything more than a pleasant way to spend some time. Honestly though, it did take all day, and I didn't spend any money. Philosophy score 1.

Had to clamber over a barbed wire fence, rip my coat and trespass to get a photo of this folkloric monster pretending half-successfully to be a tree. I have no regrets.

The white hoodoos are one of the coolest things I've ever seen but creating an impactful image in flat light, while ensuring I didn't step anywhere that would harm them, was very difficult.

I made this comic a few months ago, in collaboration with an expert named Tommy Tucker. I can't believe that it's immediately out of date because it refers to the Gulf of Mexico.
A whale swimming in a beautiful blue ocean with shafts of light. The text says, This is one of the rarest whales in the world. It's American, but most Americans have never heard of it. A whale swimming to the surface. The text says, Rice's Whales live only in the Gulf of Mexico. They were identified as a species in 2021. Arrows point to the pointy fin, three ridges on the head, and a length that's a little longer than a school bus. A whale making calls that look like swirly lines and little frogs. The text says, They make unique sounds, including a frog-like grunt and a sweeping, descending moan. These calls have echoed through the gulf for millions of years. An image of 50 whale tails, and a whale resting at the surface. The text says: Today, there are fewer than 100 Rice's whales left - maybe only 50. Oil spills, noise from industry, and shipping traffic make things tough, especially since these whales sleep close to the surface at night. Some mosses are easy to remove from their substrates. Not this one. It sticks like glue. It is super tough and grows in harsh conditions and thrives in good conditions. It requires exceptional force to eliminate it. We are like this moss. Make them work and don’t give up. #moss #iseemoss
