Here's a fun cross-generational story: I knew a lovely lady who was a teen during WWII and her boyfriend was drafted, so she listened to sad, emotional ballads. Her 1920s era, ex-flapper mom was disgusted with the slow and maudlin stuff Kids These Days liked circa 1944.

Honestly, it's a perfect animation film to kick start other animation projects in other studios. Much needed film.
