🤯 Russia is using US-made tech to run its battlefield networks.

An investigation says equipment from California-based Ubiquiti is widely seen at Russian positions, supporting communications and drone operations along the front in Ukraine.

More authoritarianism and intimidation. This is not about 2020. That’s the smokescreen. This is about the midterms and 2028. There will be a lot more of this in the coming months.

This would be DHS's first major push into a red state. Ohio has a Republican governor and Springfield has a Republican mayor.

Doing this with the support of city and state officials (unlike in California, Illinois or Minnesota) could be brutal and horrific.
I know all eyes are on Minneapolis, but there's a fast-approaching nightmare in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump is revoking protected status for tens of thousands of Haitians living there on Feb. 3.

Reportedly, on Feb. 4, 1000 ICE agents are arriving to remove this population. Ethnic cleansing.

In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

It is a great movie.
If you’ve never seen it, this is really worth renting. Especially now.
If you missed tonight’s EXCELLENT live telecast of George Clooney’s Broadway play Good Night and Good Luck, you can rent the original 2005 movie version on streaming. It’s about CBS and Edward R. Murrow standing up to Sen. Joe McCarthy — and winning. It’s eerie how relevant the plot is today.

Honestly tired of people telling me Trump "can't cancel the elections." It's not a literal point. Can he cancel each state election? No.

But can he intimidate or arrest election administrators? Yes. Can he pressure Republican secretaries of state to suppress votes? Yes. Havoc on election day? Yes.

Of the biggest scandals in US history just this week, I think I’d rank them:

1) Federal paramilitaries invade US city based on racist lies, murder US citizens

2) Slush fund for the president from stolen foreign resources held in Qatar

3) Whatever FBI and DNI are doing re: 2020 election in Georgia

The domestic terrorists work for Trump.
ICE doesn’t de-escalate, it escalates, then runs.

🚨ICE agent pepper-sprays woman after shoving her. Totally unnecessary. Santa Barbara police and paramedics showed up to clean up the mess. ICE already fled the scene.

A friend once asked me who my generation’s (Gen X) Bob Dylan is? I initially responded Bob Dylan. While I love Bob Dylan, I must amend my response to Bruce Springsteen. Buy the song. It’s on iTunes.
Bruce Springsteen released a new song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” on Wednesday in response to two fatal shootings by federal immigration enforcement agents in the city this month.

My heart is heavy after visiting Alex Pretti’s memorial site in Minneapolis.

He was a beloved son and community member who spent his days caring for our veterans.

We'll never have true justice for Alex—justice would be him alive today.

But there must be accountability.
