It's weird how I've seen basically no dem '28 speculation. Sure it's early but usually by now a few people are talking about it and there's some scattered media attention to it.

I don't know it's a slogan that does have some potential. And I think slogans broadly suck. Its potential lies in its combination of being easily understandable but also quite malleable. Americans like the idea that they will one day be billionaires! Disabusing them of that is not the task at hand.
This will probably get me yelled at, because I can see the consensus forming here that "strong floors, no ceiling" is the dumbest of all possible slogans. I would argue that it's actually not that bad, but that it's wrong for this moment (please read 🧵before yelling at me)...

These people are modern day quislings
NEW: a contractor is paying random people $300 to physically track immigrants for ICE. They're given addresses, vehicles, told to monitor the target. That information then goes back up to ICE. These are not licensed private investigators; members of the public

“The more I listened to it, the more I’m like, something doesn’t sound right,” a person who was briefed on the pilot plans told 404 Media.

There is no need to trouble ourselves about the vanes; let us raise the winds.
If we had Democratic Leaders who'd lead base on their core convictions and principals w fierce determination to fight for their constituents and the base against lawlessness instead of plotting their moves based on narrowly tailored researching/polling memos, we'd get something like this.

honestly assaults against officers (a charge which is almost always bullshit, like you kick an officer while they’re tasing you) is a much better metric of officer aggression than it is of aggression towards officers
We now know that an “830% increase” is an increase from 10 assaults in 6 months to 93 assaults in 6 months, at a time when DHS has *massively* increased at-large arrests and officers deployed in the community.

For comparison, NYPD is averaging 194 assaults on officers per MONTH.

Schumer's posts are so bad that there's a part of my brain desperate to believe it's a bit

Anyway, we can't go on like this. Culture has to rescued from the fascists, the tech bros, all who want to drown us in profitable slop. A country in touch with the best humanity has created, where people can make a living broadening and adding to that canon. This is the America I want.
