The issue isn’t that policing used to be racist & therefore it’s bad forever. It’s that creating a state sponsored paramilitary organization based on racist ideas abt work & property with no meaningful accountability or oversight shapes the society around it.

Yes! Plenty of shipping enterprise code is basically stitched together out of StackOverflow answers. But before GenAI blew up, architects and devs regarded this as a significant problem that significantly dragged down orgs with tech debt, etc.
