Imagine going to a store & the prices are covered. You need cola but they have RC Pepsi Coke Shasta and others. The only way to pricecheck is to go to the checkout one item at a time. Sometimes it's $200, $15, $20 etc There's an option that's free or maybe 50¢. That's prescription drugs in America.

"You're the first doctor to pronounce my name correctly, thank you!"
..but is it wasn't that hard of a name to pronounce. We got to do better docs.

*It's not even a thing about representation in medicine (although that is very important as well) because I'm not of the same culture as this patient.

Patients shouldnt have to worry what gets documented in their chart regarding immigration status, gender identity, or anything else that identifies them as a minority. The fact that this is controversial is reprehensible. Let them get their colds/flus and boo-boos treated just like anyone else.

He just dropped $280,000,000 worth of artillery in a war that’s not ours, but our grandparents have to live on Ramen noodles because America can’t afford Meals on Wheels anymore.

Make it make sense.

Not that this surprises anyone but actually seeing this spelled out just hits a little different.

The level of smug self-righteous pontificating from this clown. Like he thinks the chronically ill just needed a star spangled pep talk to get well. But then again this is the man who complained about the price of credit. #patrioticduty #bootstraps

Alternative take: The current system kills those without insurance. It's not the having of insurance that saves lives, because they wouldn't be at risk if the system wasn't predatory in the first place?

Deporting migrants to Libya, where torture, slavery, and arbitrary detention prevail, is a flagrant violation of international law. The administration’s plan mirrors a deliberate abandonment of human rights, outsourcing cruelty to a system that dehumanizes with impunity.

We fought for our independence.

We fought to end slavery.

We fought against the rise of fascism in Europe.

We fought for civil rights.

I refuse to believe we have lost the will to fight for what is right and just.

The majority of democratic voters support universal healthcare, yet universal healthcare isn’t officially part of the DNC platform.

Why? The healthcare oligarchs ensure that it isn’t.

Democrats will not be able to fight GOP corruption if they have a corruption problem themselves.

The medical community needs more DEI not less, but he's not interested in this discussion. Shame on any institution in medical education that chooses to bend the knee on this one.

I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.

It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.

So.... Minority Report? They were inspired by Minority Report
“Like other systems of its kind, it will code in bias towards racialised and low-income communities. Building an automated tool to profile people as violent criminals is deeply wrong, and using such sensitive data on mental health, addiction and disability is highly intrusive and alarming.”
