This exciting resolution from Rutgers University Senate is exactly the kind of model I think higher ed needs: a mutual defense pact of, in this case, Big 10 schools. They call for member institutions to create a joint defense fund and make resources available to any member institution under attack.

Columbia and other higher education institutions folding so quickly is a testament that institutions will not save or protect us. A lot of these leaders will throw others under the bus to save their skin.

Asked why Trump has not done anything about prices, despite that being the main reason people voted for him, Lindsey Graham says well Trump really only cares about immigration anyway.

back during the original "men moving right women moving left" episode it became really really clear that "moving right" was used in really squirrelly ways, largely to mean "moving to the left less"
The thing about “the youth love Trump” is that he is still doing historically poorly with the youth, whom Harris won by 10 points.

Reagan won the youth vote. GWB tied the youth vote with Gore.

CA-13 news (I'm a bit late to the punch here): Stanislaus Co's final votes are in - 158 in all - and they break pretty strongly for Adam Gray, he won them 57%-43%. He expands his lead to 165 votes over incumbent Republican John Duarte.

NEW: With Trump's deportation talk, we know many of you have questions on what it'd mean in terms of where & how people are detained.

So we recruited Brianna Nofil, a historian who just wrote a book on the topic, to answer your reader questions.

Drop your question in this form, or in a reply:

A graphic depiction helps make clear that Trump has no “mandate.” One of the narrowest popular vote wins in history.

After tonight's updates in Fresno, Merced, & San Joaquin, Adam Gray's (D) lead over Rep. John Duarte (R) in #CA13 expanded from 182 votes to 190 votes. I estimate there are only ~240 unprocessed and ~2,500 uncured ballots left. Gray's in good position ahead of a possible recount.
