District 3 (Capitol Hill)'s councilmember abstaining on the committee vote on the less lethal weapons ordinance is quite a choice, given how many of her constituents were negatively impacted by the use of these weapons in 2020. She said in her remarks that this bill wasn't a priority of hers.

I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.
In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.
