Turns out, using simple language in politics helps people understand issues better and even shapes how they see politicians - but it doesn't directly sway votes.

Interesting to see whether this will translate into more conflicts and unstable majorities in EU (legislative) decision-making once the new Commission gets going.
The Ursula von der Leyen's EU executive got the final go-ahead from MEPs with 370 votes in favour, the lowest majority in the Commission's history

Just reached 100k words on the first draft of my dissertation. Still a long way to go, but I guess it's an OK milestone to celebrate 🥂

Seems like the standoff between the EP political groups means that all commissioners-designate get approved. No bloodbath or last-minute changes this time around
