Catch up over tea with a friend at the vegan cafe so I could have cake. Had this lovely orange and thyme cake. Left my gloves on the bus 🤦‍♀️

Today felt like a week, I heard some gossip that didn't surprise me, consoled an upset colleague, tried to get some work done. Felt like I got nowhere. It was a very people day rather than a get anything done day. But I've got the next week off and I left everything as sorted as I could do.

The living room light has just gone kaput, the fire alarm won't stop beeping as battery is low but previous tenant has crossthreaded the opening. The TV has sound but no picture.

Anything else?

Bridlington ice trail and Christmas foodie market. Missed the fire and ice show because it was too packed to see.

Awake since 2:20am. Not sure if it's the splints or the stress waking me up. Probably a combination. Going to be a very tired Friday in the office today.

Ban the sale of fireworks to the general public to minimise the harm caused to vulnerable people and animals. Defenceless animals can die from the distress caused by fireworks. I believe that permitt...

Yes, I did get soaked in torrential rain on the way home from work, but I am having pie and mash for tea, so it doesn't even matter 😊

Tried some arm nerve glides to try and get to the bottom of this nerve pain I've been medicated for for years. Was sure it was impossible for there to be compression anywhere. Holy moly, so many little spots of tightness!
So now nerve glides exercises have become another part of daily maintenance

Got up to a flooded kitchen. I'd popped the washing machine on (towels and cloths) before going back to bed for a while.
Water everywhere, checked under the sink and nothing wet there. Pulled washer out, no water there.
Something was clanking while washing, which I thought was strange.

A busy day of household chores and food shopping. Time to curl up with some pizza and that new Frankestein film on Netflix.

Ah chronic illness, hello my old friend.
I had been doing so well I started to think I was invincible and pushed too far this week. So yes I absolutely had to go to bed at 7:30pm and lie here in the dark, not moving. Hoping this helps and tomorrow I wake up ok.

Your body isn’t a collection of muscles—it’s a fascial web.

Most fitness programs ignore that.
That’s why pain keeps coming back, flexibility plateaus, and injuries repeat, no matter how “targeted” the exercise seems.
