Time for an Eligibility post!

Thanks to everyone who spent a little time with my words this year. I always appreciate your kindness :)

If you want to nominate anything for anything…that’s wonderful.

If you don’t, that’s cool too :)

“Historians, librarians and volunteers are racing to document museum displays and historical records they fear the Trump administration will remove or alter.”
A small army is racing against time and Trump to preserve U.S. history
Like 'monks' in the Middle Ages, volunteers are working to preserve cultural treasures they fear are under threat from President Trump’s war against 'woke.'

Decided to test myself while my TV dinner was warming in the microwave: could I write a story before the bell dinged? Had to dictate it into my phone while standing there, but: yes. Maybe 300 words? 350? No title yet, but I bet there’s one in there. Fun little piece.

All of Anna's podcasts are great, but this one really is a must-listen...
Interview with Eleanor Johnson is LIVE! This episode feels like a big one, a heavy one. Scream With Me gives you lots to think about, lots to feel. We talk about this, how it feels to see the ERA fail to pass, how it feels to see our plight play out on screen, and more (1/3 🧵).

Censorship is so 1984. Read for your rights.

Today kicks off #BannedBooksWeek, and this year's theme reminds us that the right to read belongs to all of us, that censorship has no place in contemporary society, and that we must defend our rights.

All writing advice is an author going, “Hey, this worked for me, so I’m sharing it in case it works for you.” That’s cool. That could be useful to someone. On the other hand, advice presented as a “rule” or as something you “must” do is stuff I think you can ignore.
