Kyle’s a cool ass dude. Read this review and preorder that fucking memoir!
A memoir that captures the complicated blend of artistic melancholy and harsh human realities, Kyle Kouri’s The Problem Drinker is a drinking buddy that may not offer lots of answers to questions, but sure does offer good company. My review:

Books that know balance of reality and the fantastical are a gem. True of @scribeofhades.bsky.social’s Daytide, this is a novel that is equally human and of an entirely other world. Witty, clever, and moving, it’s damn good fantasy at its finest. My review:

Daytide Review: Beating Wings of Captivating Creativity
With unique traits, Daytide feels like it exists in a category of its own, one that combines what builds incredible stories that stand the test of time.

MAKE ME BETTER is my forthcoming novel about the horrors of community. It is about cults, wellness, control, and the things we will do to escape grief.

Sometimes it hurts to grow -- but your community believes that you can be made pure.

It comes out in May.

Free horror anthology theme idea: forget haunted houses. Just collect homeownership horror stories of the things you wake up to find totally wrong. Water damage, mold, etc. These are the real horrors in life. Speaking from experience!!!!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪

True to my ramble-y fashion, I had to write about @joe-hill.bsky.social’s King Sorrow. This a review of sorts, maybe an essay, or just a love letter to the book. All the same, King Sorrow is a masterful work of horror fiction, and you can read why I think so here:

King Sorrow: A Simmering Light in the Overwhelming Long Dark
King Sorrow is the book we all need, reminder that nothing is too late, that we are capable of so much even in the face of the seemingly unbeatable.
