American workers on minimum wage ($7.25/hr) must work
90 HOURS A WEEK to escape poverty (per what US Govt says is poverty level)..that is why most people on SNAP qualify assistance, and bear in mind that is just 1 person. If that person has a child or children the poverty level is even deeper.
