When I was in high school, I came across a volume of Katherine Mansfield's short stories in the library. A revelation. This was the way I wanted to write. Then and now. With clarity and insight. Have not quite managed it. But, then, I am not a genius!

A few thoughts on this important NYT analysis:
First, the officer who killed Good is shown running up the *passenger* side of the car seconds before he killed her. He shot her first from the front, then the driver's side. This means he *put himself* in the path of the vehicle when he shot her.
