Talking to my mum about our shared experiences with HRT was one of the first times I think she realised that I was actually serious that I am a woman. Maybe *the* first time.

Seeing how neglected and poorly understood trans female biology and medical needs are could highlight for many cis women in a uniquely visceral way: we really are both women.

it might just be possible the people who ran $215 million of ads smearing trans people as inherently threatening to women, girls, and the general public for their closing argument in a presidential election genuinely believe their ultimate victory requires the eradication of trans people
Hot take, I think the party deeply invested in gender-conservative ideology and the legal enforcement of cissexism and male-supremacy is actually for-real invested in enshrining patriarchy.

All of this. Every day in the gym I'm keeping track of two separate things workout stats and just how long it takes for every cis person to clear a 10 foot gap around me. Because it happens every time. Using the locker room and the sauna always come with a stack of hypervigilance on top.
To address the whole ‘trying to be healthy while trans’ thing, I would invite cis people to imagine what it’s like to do something as mundane as use the local swimming pool as a trans woman. What the experience of using the changing rooms is like. How it is to climb out of the water in a swimsuit.
